Dr. Matt's Story of Healing
Chiropractic treatment restored his life. Now he helps others experience the same hope.
When Dr. Matt Leonard was a young boy, a severe fall from a vacation bunk bed left him with minimal motion below his neck and scoliosis. Conventional doctors told his family he may never be able to play sports again, and that spine surgery could be in his future if he had any chance of making a full recovery.
His parents decided to look into chiropractic care for a second opinion. The chiropractor made no promises, but felt confident he could help.
After consistent chiropractic care, Dr. Matt regained full motion, his scoliosis was reduced significantly, and he was able to return to sports and surfing.
That experience changed the direction of his life.
At a young age, Dr. Matt knew he wanted to help others the way his chiropractor had helped him.

Dr. Matt worked hard to fulfill his dream of becoming a chiropractor. He completed his undergraduate program in San Diego, then moved to Hayward, California, where he graduated from Life Chiropractic College West.
After working for other chiropractors and gaining hands-on experience, Dr. Matt opened his own practice. Coastal Chiropractic was established in 2010 with a clear mission: help Ventura patients live healthier, happier, more active lives without relying on drugs or surgery whenever natural care may be an option.
